Greg Maddux: Maddux was brilliant tonight. Incredible movement on his fastball, locating perfectly, freezing guys for called third strikes. He’s going to have a great year pitching in Petco.

Cla Meredith: Sick. A 1 pitch grounder to Klesko, a 3 pitch K to Molina who waved at a frisbee 3 feet out of the zone and then he followed ball one to the lefty Linden with 3 straight swinging strikes. Yeah, I’d say he’s limiting the damage from lefties.

Scott Linebrink: Linebrink continued his resurgence with another 1-2-3 inning. It looks like he’s on track for a great year.

Doug Brocail: Non-save situation in the 9th so Doug Brocail gets to finish the game. Nice 1-2-3 inning, including a first pitch pop up from Barry Bonds and a big slow curve to freeze Durham for the final out.
