Series Preview: Padres at Rockies

April 20th, 2007 · No Comments

The Padres make their first trip to the alien landscape that is Coors Field for a weekend series so how about a Rox blog round up?

The Coors Effect notes that the Rockies have been getting some decent starting pitching but it’s been sabotaged by a lousy bullpen and poor offensive support.

Purple Row says that reports of Brian Lawrence’s demise have been greatly exaggerated and he may even be in line for a start next week. That’s just as well, I’d rather not see him resurrect his career with a freakish 2 hit shutout against his old team.

Rockies Magic Number bemoans the Rox inconsistency and poor run support. Sounds like the only difference between the two teams is we have a good bullpen.

Perusing the various Rockies blogs also revealed a serious hatred of Khalil Greene. It’s hard to imagine anyone hating our robotic shortstop but it shouldn’t be surprising since Spockoli tears it up every time he goes to Coors.
