Oops, I forgot to post this when I wrote it on Saturday.
Clay Hensley: Darren Ballsley’s prediction was spot on. Clay looked much better tonight. He threw with authority and his delivery was more consistent. To me he started to look tired when he came out for the 5th. He was no longer following through and was finishing more upright. His sinker dropped from 91-93mph down to 87-90mph. He gave up a couple of hits but got a double play to get out of the inning without a run. He was actually lucky to get out of it, the Rockies are just awful lately.
Clay made it through 6 innings, much better than previous starts but he still has some problems to work out.
Heath Bell: Looked a little shaky but got out of it with a bases loaded strikeout to Torrealba on a slider out of the strike zone.
Scott Linebrink: Not the greatest outing for Scott. 2 waks and a hit loaded the bases but he got Helton to fly out to end it.
Kevin Cameron: Yet another strong outing for K Cam. I like the way Buddy Black is working him into the mix in situations where he can build confidence. He’s not ready for mid-inning jams the way Cla Meredith is but he’s getting there.
