Here’s something I’ve been meaning to look at for a while. Check out Kevin Kouzmanoff’s strikeouts per plate appearance, contrasted with his batting average.
Some of us over at the Ducksnorts in game discussions noted a a few weeks ago that Kouz seemed to be having better at bats and the chart bears that out. His K rate started coming down but his batting average lagged behind. He’s had better luck the last few days, more of his hits are falling in and he’s hitting with more authority. In fact, as of this writing he’s 7 for his last 17 with 2 doubles, 4 RBIs and 4 runs scored.

Man, I’m pulling for that guy! I met him at the Denver Chophouse and Brewery when they were in Colorado. A geniune and classy guy. The last couple of nights he’s been tearing it up. I hope he can make a run for “ROY”. Now wouldn’t that be sweet!
