Justin Germano Germano pitched well once again and once again did it through location and changing speeds. 6 hits in 6 IP is a little higher than Germano’s average thus far but he was scoreless through 5 before faltering in the 6th and giving up a home run. Only one strikeout against zero walks so again he’s not dominating anyone. You have to think it’s all going to come crashing down at some point but I suppose it’s possible to maintain a decent level of productivity while averaging 3 strikeouts per 9 innings. Chien Ming Wang is doing fine for the Yankees with very similar numbers. If you can’t strike anyone out then don’t walk anyone and make sure you don’t allow the long ball.

Doug Brocail, Kevin Cameron: A big lead means it’s time for the garbage time stylings of Brocail and Cameron. Brocail had a solid 1-2-3 inning and K Cam followed it with 2 innings, 2 hits and 2 strikeouts with no walks and no runs scored.
